Boutique Wine Tour (departing from Queenstown)

An afternoon among the boutique vineyards and spectacular scenery of Central Otago, a perfect introduction to the region. 

Departing at midday the Boutique Wine Tour ventures through the rugged Kawarau gorge to visit four of the regions finest boutique vineyards located in the Bannockburn and Gibbsto Valley areas. Lunch is provided in a peaceful setting, at Carrick Winery overlooking the Bannockburn Inlet of Lake
Dunstan. The tour is a great introduction to the region's wine, history, culture and fine cruisine and makes a great afternoon out from Queenstown.

Gourmet Wine Tour (departing from Queenstown)

A relaxed day of fine cuisine, good company, sampling local cheeses and tasting premium cool-climate wines.

Venturing into the heart of Central Otago this Gourment Wine Tour offers a true wine and food experience. Highlights include tasting wines at four to five of the regions premium vineyards, a guided tour of New Zealand's largest underground wine cave, and a virtual wine flight at The Big Picture. A gourmet platter lunch is included as well as a mid-morning cheese tasting in the garden at Olssens vineyard. There is ample time and opportunity to enjoy the spectacular scenery, the history, the culture and the quiet ambience of this unique region. The Big Picture is the world's first wine adventure combining a restaurant, aroma room and a purpose built wine tasting auditorium. In the auditorium we take you on a virtual 26 minute flight across the spectacular Central Otago landscape combined with an interactive wine tasting.

Waiheke Island Vineyard (departing from Auckland)

About the tour
Combine your ferry travel to Waiheke with our popular vineyard tour, which includes wine tasting and tours at three leading island vineyards and an olive growing estate, plus a light lunch and an all day bus pass.
 
Tour itinerary
You board the ferry at Auckland ferry terminal or Devonport wharf and enjoy a pleasant cruise through the Hauraki Gulf to Waiheke Island.  On arrival you will be greeted at the wharf by your tour driver and directed to your coach. 
 
Your first visit is to Stonyridge Vineyard, where you will enjoy a tour and tastings, plus a light lunch of a large filled roll, fruit and cheese.  You then depart for Rangihoua Estate, which introduces you to Waiheke’s olive growing industry (including olive oil tasting).  A stop at 'Wild on Waiheke' offers optional beer tasting as well as wine, and your tour is concluded with final tastings at the beautiful Mudbrick Vineyard before returning to the ferry terminal.

Once the tour is over, you can  either board the next ferry, or use your All Day Bus Pass, allowing you to further explore the island.
 
Tour departure times
Tours depart from Auckland downtown ferry terminal Wed - Sun at 11am (departs Devonport at 11.10am). From 5 May to 30 Sept.
No tours Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday or ANZAC Day.
 
How much time is needed to do the tour?
The actual tour lasts 5½ hours including ferry travel to and from the island, but you can stay longer and use your all day bus pass.

Whichever region is chosen guests will be met at their accommodation by one of our hosts and indulge in a day of tasting some of New Zealand's leading wines leaving the worries of driving behind. Specialist knowledge is available during the day, with lunch at one of the vineyards. Emerging and boutique wineries are visited with options of brewery and Olive processing facilities.The Boutique wineries are internationally renowned for Pinot Noir.
